First off, I would like to say Happy New Years! I hope everyone had as good of I year as I had last year.
I had tons of fun this year in 2009. It was probably one of the better years for me. I raced in the Mazda MX-5 Cup (which is always interesting..), the Skip Barber National Series, and the Jim Russell Championship Series. I ended the year with 50% top 5's in both MX-5 Cup and Skip Barber, and I won 8/10 Jim Russell races (as well as the championship). The Skip Barber and MX-5 were a bit rough for me this year, but I learned a lot from them.
I was also picked for the Team USA Scholarship, and got to race at two very well known tracks; Brands Hatch and Silverstone. I also got to see McLaren's Technical Center and ProDrive while I was there. I had a fantastic time racing while I was in England, and I even came home with a podium finish at Brands Hatch.
I met Mathew Cragun, who is pretty much one of the coolest guys I have ever met, period! We have so much in common, and even when we aren't doing anything, we still manage to have fun.
Top 10 New Years Resolutions
1. Learn how to pay my own taxes
2. Take over Smrz Racing and Peg Leg Inc. (Stunt Business)
3. Get more jobs in the stunt business
4. Win the Jim Russell Championship for the 3rd time in a row
5. Get in the best shape I've ever been in
6. Get my own car
7. Lock a sponsor for 2011
8. Start eating healthy
9. Move back to California
10. Get a girlfriend (who will eventually ruin my life...just joking) :)
I am planning on making all of these goals into a reality. I have already been working very hard on all of them! This year is going to be a good year for me, I can just tell.
Anyhow, everyone enjoy their new gifts, and I hope you have a good Christmas vacation. I will get back to all of you in about a week or so.
